Thanks to our dedicated members, the Everpure Biodiesel Co-op has completed another successful season. This year we manufactured all of our own biodiesel in close association with Zuraw Technologies. By May 2012, we expect to have an inventory of 30,000 litres of biodiesel, and should be easily able to meet all delivery requests throughout the summer. We will have enough feedstock and production capacity to meet all members needs in 2012.
As a cooperative, we can only meet this demand - and remain viable - by collecting the waste oil from which we make this biodiesel. We currently sell high quality fryer oil and pick up the waste oil from over 70 restaurants in the Orangeville / Georgetown / Guelph area. We are picking up about 1500 litres of waste vegetable oil each week. This work - and the production of biodiesel from the waste oil - will continue through the winter of 2011/12. We should have over 100 restaurants on our list by January and should reach our goal of 150 restaurants before the end of 2012.
But we can't ask our co-op employees to work for free, and we need them to be hard at work for the next six months, in order to meet our fuel needs in 2012. In order to keep producing throughout the winter, we need your help. We have expenses to meet and bills to pay.
The Everpure Co-op is now offering members an excellent "price-lock-in" opportunity. If you pre-purchase your fuel before January 31, 2012, Everpure will lock in, and guarantee the fall price of 126.9 cents/L This will protect your fuel bill against inflation: no matter how high fuel prices rise by next spring, we will honour the fall price-lock-in throughout 2012. Of course, if the pump price is less than 126.9 cents/L, you will get the lower price at the time of sale. You cannot lose!
And you will be helping the co-op at the same time. Please help Everpure by pre-buying your 2012 fuel now. Your decision to pre-buy fuel will help the co-op remain financially viable until we begin to sell biodiesel in May, 2012. And at that point, we will be financially self-sustaining.
